Training Services


Texas DPS Level ii non-Commissioned officer

Pursuant to TAC 35.141 the Level II Training Course and test is required of all non-commissioned security officers, commissioned security officers and personal protection officers. This training course will be administered by our licensed Level IV training school and taught by one of our licensed Level IV Instructors. This is the bare minimum requirement set fourth by DPS to become an unarmed security officer in the state of Texas.


Texas DPS Level iii-Commissioned Officer

The Level III Training Course (45 hours) and test (including course of fire) is required for all commissioned security officers and personal protection officers. This training course will be administered by our licensed Level IV training school and taught by one of our licensed Level IV instructors. The demonstration of firearm proficiency must be completed within 90 days of the application date on TOPS. This level III course grants proper licensure- commissioned security officer and will allow an officer to carry a firearm in the state of Texas.


Texas DPS Level iv-Personal protective officer

The Level IV Training Course (minimum 15 hours) and test is required for all personal protection officers. This training course will be administered by our licensed Level IV training school and administered by one of our licensed Level IV instructors. This is the highest security level you can obtain in the state of Texas. After completion of this course, each student will be required by DPS to undergo a physiological evaluation. We have psychologists that we can recommend to help you along with this process.





Texas Concealed handgun license

The Texas Concealed Handgun License (6 hour) is a permit to carry a concealed or open carry handgun in the state of Texas. The course is administered by one of our DPS certified CHL instructors. The Handgun Licensing Program is under the authority of the Texas Government Code Chapter 411, Subchapter H. Our course covers gun safety, proper use of force, dispute resolution, gun storage, as well as Texas laws regarding use of force as defense and all licensing requirements.

The Active Shooter Course (ASC) is designed to provide high quality training and instilling the analytical knowledge, skills and aptitudes needed for the highest proficiency in this specialized field. The program takes active shooter threat tactics training to the next level by emphasizing leadership, teach backs, and adult learning as well as the traditional technical skills needed by everyday employees at their place of work. This is an intensive training program that covers a variety of scenarios and situations to prepare you for possible real world experiences.
